We're over to moon to be a part of the Chicago Jazz Festival! We'll be appearing on the Von Freeman Pavillion, which is very moving to me as Von was a hero of mine and a big part of my development.
Here's a great article from the Chicago Reader about the upcoming show
From the Rosa's press release:
Tim Fitzgerald's Full House Plays for Wes
On the 93rd anniversary of Wes’ birth:
Full House is Chicago based seven piece ensemble dedicated to carrying on the music of jazz giant Wes Montgomery. The group features new arrangements of Wes’ music by guitarist Tim Fitzgerald and trumpeter Victor Garcia. The band remains well grounded in the jazz tradition -- thanks to drummer George Fludas (Ray Brown, Buddy Montgomery, Cedar Walton) and pianist Tom Vaitsas (Lurie Bell, Von Freeman) -- while also looking forward with a modern three horn front line of Garcia, Brent Griffin and Chris Madsen, and bassist Christian Dillingham. On the 93rd anniversary of Wes’ birth -- Sunday March 6, 2016 -- Full House will perform at Chicago’s Rosa’s Lounge, introducing several new arrangements in a concert setting at the historic blues lounge.
